CONSTRUCTION DETAILING ON BUILDING ELEMENTS
This assignment is designed to allow us to demonstrate our knowledge and understanding on building construction through drawings. It will emphasis more on detailing on building elements. One of the aims of this assignment is to develop an awareness and understanding of the strong inter-relationship between design and technical knowledge. A success of any design project relies on a designer’s ability to address issues of appropriate methods of construction, integration of structure and the selection of materials whilst addressing the many other complex issues that are part of the design process.
We have to produce a construction that consist of floor plan, sections and details based on a floor plan of a two-storey house. We obtain floor plans from developer housing showrooms. The construction materials to be used are FULLY TIMBER. The house we referred to is an end unit of ELMINA CITY PROJECT, SIME DARBY PROPERTIES.

Throughout the process if this assignment, I have developed an understanding of the structural elements in construction and its application in the construction industry as well as aware on how buildings are developed in response to practical considerations.
