TECHINICAL DRAWINGS

project 2a

orthographic projections

“A means of representing a three-dimensional in two dimensions along with drawing that communicate the shape and size of an object through a series of related two-dimensional views”

In project 2A, we produced 2D and 3D drawings using orthographic projections in three phases manually and continuously. For this semester, we were drawing Schroder Schrader House. We have to produce

  • Plan(s)

  • Elevation (Two Elevations)

  • Section (One Section)

perspectives

In project 2B, this assessment introduces perspective as a mode of communication in architecture. We are required to construct firstly, one exterior (two-point) perspective followed by one sectional interior perspective (one-point).

project 2c

axonometric projection

In project 2C, we generated axonometric at a scale of 1:75 on A2-sized butter paper (for construction) and finally inked on A2-sized cartridge paper.

learning outcome

From this project, I have learned  how to illustrate architectural forms and spaces through visualization and expression of space in the form of manual drawing. Next, I learned interpret visual information using two-dimensional and three-dimensional orthographic drawings
